heh, i'd have to respectfully disagree :P snaps can certainly be used in hIp-hop, and the reason why I used it sparingly is because I just didnt want that "fire" to come in just yet! In the verse, I actually did exactly what you recommended, in the second phase of that section I threw both a snare and clap on top of that snap so you can truly hear that zap and tap and then rap! o..thankfully I never add lyrics to my tracks, that would just be crap, and make me want to nap. anyways, thank you for the input!

Thanks man, thats what I was thinkin' too was to just go back and spit the chorus without any putting any bullshit effects on it but really it just boils down to laziness. The mic I use is a USB Audio-Technica AT2020 fitted with a metal pop screen.
